What happens during my session with Janet?

During your first visit, Janet will ask you questions about your medical history and your desired change. She’ll explain what hypnosis is and how it works. In fact, before the hypnotic process ever begins, Janet will answer your questions, share the science of how our minds work, explain the theory behind “why we all do what we do”, and ensure you are completely comfortable and relaxed.
Then, Janet uses a combination of guided imagery, neuro-linguistics and voice dialogue to uncover the real reason behind “what’s not working” for you. This creative process is pivotal to your success. Once she understands how your mind is currently programmed, she can help you reframe your thoughts to achieve your desired change.
During the last portion of your session, Janet will guide you through a series of relaxation techniques that will put your mind into a state of receptivity. She’ll use sensory language and mental imagery (the language your mind speaks) to deliver new messages into your brain. Using the information she discovered through the creative process above, she’ll deliver new, positive messages intended to change your behaviors and relieve your symptoms.
In some cases, Janet will also give you an audio recording to use at home – so you can reinforce what you learned during your session.
How many sessions will I need?
Each session lasts about 90 minutes, and most people start to see results within 1-6 sessions. This isn’t a guarantee *, and your results will depend on many factors (that Janet will discuss with you). However, Janet will closely monitor and evaluate your progress over time.
